GamingSmart (“we”, “us”) provides free sensitivity tools. This policy explains what data is collected when you use the site, why, and the choices you have. We don’t require an account and we don’t ask you for personal information to use any tool.

The converter and calculators run entirely in your browser. The sensitivities, DPI values, and games you enter are never sent to us or stored on a server. They stay on your device.

Information collected automatically

Like most websites, our host and analytics provider record standard technical data when you visit: IP address, browser type and version, device and operating system, referring page, the pages you view, and timestamps. This is used in aggregate to understand traffic and keep the site working. It isn’t used to identify you personally.

Analytics

We use Google Analytics to measure how the site is used (which pages are popular, rough geographic regions, device types). Google Analytics sets cookies and processes the technical data above on our behalf. You can opt out across all sites with Google’s Analytics opt-out browser add-on.

Advertising

GamingSmart is an ad-supported site. Our advertising is managed by Raptive (formerly CafeMedia / AdThrive) and its advertising partners. These partners may use cookies and similar technologies to show and measure ads, including (where you’ve allowed it) ads based on your interests. Cookies

Cookies are small files stored by your browser. We and our partners use them for analytics and advertising as described above; our hosting provider may set essential cookies for security and performance; and the site stores small preferences on your device (your light/dark theme, your favorited games, and your input-unit choice). You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings. The tools will still work, though some preferences won’t persist.

Your choices and rights

Depending on where you live, you may have rights over your personal data, and you can exercise the main choices right here on the site:

EU / UK (GDPR): where required, a consent prompt lets you accept or reject non-essential cookies before they’re set, and you can change that choice at any time. You also have the right to access, correct, or delete your personal data. Email us to make a request.
California & other US states: under the CCPA/CPRA and similar laws in a growing number of states, you can opt out of the “sale” or “sharing” of personal information for targeted advertising using the “Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information” control our advertising partner provides on the site. Where supported, the Global Privacy Control (GPC) browser signal is treated as a valid opt-out.
Everyone: you can opt out of Google Analytics with the browser add-on linked above, and block or clear cookies in your browser settings at any time.

Third-party links

The site links to other websites (for example official game pages). We don’t control those sites and aren’t responsible for their content or privacy practices. Review their policies separately.

Children

The site is intended for a general audience and isn’t directed at children under 13. We don’t knowingly collect personal information from children.

Changes

We may update this policy as the site or our partners change. Material changes will be reflected by the “last updated” date above.
